Not even 3 hours later, he sends me this: Even though I was likely an idiot and wiped out my own save files, he was going to try to fix my game for me. He asks for a screenshot from my game and then asks me to send him the save files I was able to recover. Lo and behold, Lucas Pope, the developer of Papers, Please comments on my forum post. Recuva was able to recover around 20 deleted files, but my game was not seeing the saves when I put them back into their directory. Out of desperation, I also ran a data recovery tool called Recuva on the folder containing the game's save files. I posted on the Steam forums looking for general help from other players, because it looked like I still had some of my saves available but simply could not access them. I was pretty bummed and ready to quit the game for good. No game saves.nothing to go back to at all. Not sure how it happened, but in deleting old saves, I somehow wiped out EVERYTHING. I reached the max number of tree structure "limbs" allowed and was told to delete some before proceeding. When you do this, your list of game saves spreads out in a tree-structure type of structure. As you play, you sometimes screw up and need to go back to a previous save. I spent basically all morning getting pretty far into the game.
